Dr. Prosper Ngwang

Dr. Prosper is a general surgeon and PAACS faculty member at Mbingo Baptist Hospital in Cameroon. He completed his surgical residency at Malamulo Adventist Hospital in Malawi and has extensive experience serving in resource-limited settings across the North West and Far North regions of Cameroon. His work focuses on general and emergency surgery, surgical education, and mentorship. He is passionate about strengthening surgical services and training the next generation of African surgeons, guided by a commitment to compassionate, faith-driven care and community impact.

Elizabeth Reward Ambendekson
Partnerships & Outreach Lead
Elizabeth is a researcher based in Cameroon with a deep-rooted interest in clinical epidemiology and parasitology. Currently, she works as a Field Coordinator and Laboratory Assistant for an NIH-funded grant, where she balances the logistical demands of field research with the precision of genomic surveillance.
She earned her Master’s in Parasitology from the University of Buea, focusing her thesis on how environmental, socioeconomic, and sociodemographic factors shape the impact of malaria. While her background is grounded in epidemiology, she is now looking ahead to a PhD, eager to bridge the gap between field data and the lab by transitioning into advanced molecular work to better understand host-pathogen interactions
Kasia Nwansi

Kez is a midwife, adult nurse, and MSc student in Global Public Health & Policy. With nearly a decade of clinical experience across A&E, ICU, and maternity care, her work centers on re-centering African voices, evidence and lived realities in maternal health and health-system reform. She is particularly interested in governance, financing, and community-based models of care in West Africa. At Nkara, she brings a Pan-African perspective, a belief in the power of local knowledge, and a dedication to producing and platforming research for and by African people.
